For an upscale and unique sound during your event… how about some trip hop and down tempo?  Great smooth background music for dinner or cocktail hour.  The trip hop and downtempo genre sets an interesting and individual sound to your event environment while allowing your guests to still mingle and participate without distraction.  You won’t hear this music on the radio.  The trip hop and down tempo category also works great when mixing classic favorites that your guests will love to recognize.  Songs from The Beatles, Coldplay, The Rolling Stones, Jack Johnson, The Eagles, Elton John, Cat Stevens, etc  are too chill for the dance floor but familiar with all of your guests and work perfectly with trip hop and downtempo during cocktails.
